Welcome Professor Carlos Lemos Jr | 2nd Degree Black Belt Champion

Students! It is our great pleasure to announce the arrival of Professor Carlos Lemos Jr. to Gracie Barra Countryside. Professor Lemos is a TWO TIME WORLD CHAMPION and has won the World Jiu Jitsu Championship held in both Rio de Janeiro and the United States. He has competed and won many international competitions world wide against the most skilled competitors. His vast resume also includes training the US Army, FBI, and other law enforcement officers. He is a fierce competitor and a gifted instructor of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Professor Lemos is looking forward to working with everyone and we welcome him with open arms!

Professor Ricardo Guimaraes receives his 2nd degree

We are proud to announce that the Gracie Barra Temecula Head Instructor Professor Ricardo Guimaraes received yesterday his 2nd degree on the Black Belt from the hands of his Instructor Professor Marcelo Pereira.

At Gracie Barra we follow the ibjjf guidelines and to receive a 2nd degree Black Belt our Professors need to be for at least 6 years on the Black Belt.

Congrats Professor Ricardo Guimaraes.

Instructors rank and lineage

On February 5th, GB launched the project of building a complete and updated worldwide database of Gracie Barra Instructors and schools where they teach.

GB Instructors are now being required to submit their rank and lineage information to the Gracie Barra Association by completing an online form. The information will be used to track belts, stripes, and promotions from all instructors worldwide.
